Design information usually loses the thing that makes it defensible: what it looked like when it was issued, which requirement it satisfied, and who approved the figure. DESIGN keeps all three attached to the record itself.

A transmittal item stores the document number, title, revision and version as they were at the moment of issue, so the record stays true after the document changes underneath it.
Specifications arrive as PDFs, get read once, and become a source of argument later. XO Spec enumerates the obligations inside them and keeps each requirement identifiable across revisions, so a change in issue 4 traces to the same obligation in issue 3.
Automated extraction fixes the retyping and creates a new problem: nobody knows which figures a machine invented. XO Products extracts and then stops. The result is a proposal a named person approves, with the review recorded permanently, including whether the value came from a person or from AI.
Embodied carbon calculated to a named methodology pack, approved with a signature the system refuses to record without, and exported inside the same transaction as its evidence, so a successful export always has one.
Fabrication runs end to end in one app, from catalogue and take-off through to packing, and takes its parts directly from the BIM model rather than by re-entry.
