XO Verde

Embodied carbon,
with its provenance.

Embodied carbon numbers are demanded more often by planners, funders and clients, and challenged more often. Most tools produce a figure. XO Verde produces a figure with its provenance: which methodology pack, which declarations, which frozen version, and who approved it. Part of the DESIGN bundle, on the roadmap.

The Problem

The number is easy. Defending it is not.

Months after a figure is issued, someone asks how it was reached. The answer has to be reassembled from spreadsheets, email threads and folder graveyards, and the version that was signed off has usually moved on since.

Challenged months later

The figure was agreed at the time. Now nobody can show which version it came from, or who put their name to it.

A method nobody can name

A number arrives with no statement of which methodology produced it, or which lifecycle modules it actually covers.

Evidence that went missing

The export still exists. The data behind it moved on, and nothing ties the two back together.

Features

Carbon intelligence, built in

XO Verde connects your BIM model to real EPD data, giving you actionable carbon insights throughout the project.

EPD management, scoped to your company

Upload Environmental Product Declarations or import them from openEPD, then analyse and apply. Every step is idempotent and scoped to your company, so a retry cannot quietly create a duplicate.

  • Multiple EPD sourcesEPDs stored as first-class records with declared unit, GWP factors, provenance and validity dates
  • Product overlayLink products to declarations so a product selection resolves to a factor set
  • openEPD importImport declarations directly from openEPD, behind an explicit permission

Approved by a person, provably

An approval is a decision with a name on it. XO Verde will not record one without a signature, and the version that was approved does not move afterwards.

  • Refused, not warnedAn approval or rejection cannot be recorded without an actor signature
  • Immutable versionsEvery run and every save is a snapshot, marked run or save, draft or submitted
  • Exports carry their evidenceThe evidence record is written in the export transaction. If it fails, the artifact rolls back

Methodology

A named methodology, not a black box

Three registered methodology packs, each declaring the EN 15978 modules it reports against. Availability is a governance decision per company, not a global switch.

CWCT 2022

Envelope assessment, with bay and panel modelling for curtain walling.

IStructE v1

Structural assessment, declaring the EN 15978 modules it reports against.

CIBSE TM65

Building services assessment, registered alongside the envelope and structural packs.

XO Verde sits on the same record

Carbon assessed against real projects, real products and a real supply chain, through three bridges into the platform.
